Valuable Content

I think I get about 30-40 emails every day that are trying to move me towards making a purchase or some kind of financial transaction. I’m not talking about retailers. Just the entrepreneurs who have products or services they think I might want or need.

On social media I follow a number of people, and there I also see some of the same types of content. I could save myself some time and just unsubscribe from their email list or unfollow them with just a press of a button. But I don’t. It’s not because I’m lazy or don’t want to seem cruel. It’s because they do add value into my day. Maybe not every time, but enough for me to still want to consume their content. And I think there could be a potential transaction in the future.

From time to time I have been converted from a cold lead, to a warm one and then a customer. That’s the way it works. But in order for that to happen, someone must be able to reach me with the right message at the right time. That’s what valuable content is and what I want to shed some more light on this subject. Because content, in particular valuable content will become a even more important in the near future.
